Support
The Museum is chiefly funded by the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, City of Dublin Education Training Board through the Culture and Heritage Course and the Office of Public Works with provision of space. To see current project sponsors see here.
Accreditation
The Museum is fully accredited under the Heritage Council’s Museum Standards Programme for Ireland.
Intangible Cultural Heritage
In 2019, the Museum successfully applied to have letterpress printing listed on the National Inventory of Intangible Cultural Heritage (under the 2003 UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage).
